According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 211 people, 84 households, and 53 families residing in the town. The population density was 206.6 people per square mile (79.9/km²). There were 102 housing units at an average density of 99.9 per square mile (38.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 78.67% White, 6.16% African American, 13.74% from other races, and 1.42% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 25.59% of the population.
There were 84 households out of which 35.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were married couples living together, 9.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.9% were non-families. 35.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.36.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.5% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.6 males.
